Hotel Madreselva (Caños) is situated one minute from the beach in the heart of Caños de Meca. All of the hotel's eighteen rooms have bathrooms and a small private garden where you can read, relax or store your surf equipment.

There is a surf school in the next village where clients can hire boards, or learn to wave surf on the beauriful and uncrowded beach of El Palmar. It can be organised on arrival.

Caños de Meca is surrounded by a spectacular national park of umbrella pines. Horses and mountain bikes can be rented nearby for those who wish to explore.

There are many good restaurants in the vicinity: the fish restaurants of Barbate and Zahara de los Atunes; the meat restaurants of Santa Lucia and Vejer and a very good Italian restaurant in La Muella.
